Uttar Pradesh: What is the plan of UP IAS Abhishek Singh after resigning? Wife Durga Shakti Nagpal is DM, will he himself follow this new path?

UP Cadre year 2011 batch IAS officer Abhishek Singh has resigned. Abhishek, who is under suspension since February 2023, is fond of acting and hence now people are speculating that after resigning, he may take the path of films. Senior officials of the appointment department have confirmed Abhishek’s resignation. Let us tell you that Abhishek’s wife Durga Shakti Nagpal, originally from Jaunpur, is also a 2010 batch IAS officer. Presently she is the DM of Banda.
Abhishek’s father Kripa Shankar Singh is a retired IPS officer. After training, Abhishek got his first posting on 14 August 2013 as Joint Magistrate in Jhansi. He was suspended on 11 October 2014. After reinstatement, he was made the Chief Development Officer of Hardoi in January 2015. In March 2015 he went on deputation to Delhi Government. On his return from Delhi after five years, he was sent as an observer for the Gujarat Assembly elections.
He also took up the responsibility of observer duty, but came into limelight because he got his photo clicked in front of the car and posted it on social media. The Election Commission removed him from observer duty on 18 November 2022 for non-proper conduct. After being relieved from observer duty, he has not yet submitted his contribution report in the appointment department.
IAS Abhishek Singh was suspended for missing without any notice or leave. The state government considered his act as a violation of the service rules and suspended him with immediate effect and attached him to the Revenue Council. They have been directed not to leave the headquarters during the period of affiliation without obtaining written permission. Even after this he did not feel like working.
Why resignation
According to the rules, one can apply for voluntary retirement after 20 years of service, but Abhishek has not served that much yet. That is why he has resigned. At present he was associated with the Revenue Council.
