Railway Minister gave Diwali gift to Uttarakhand, operation of new train started between Kotdwar and Delhi, Dhami showed the green flag.

A new train service started from today 28th October between Kotdwar in Uttarakhand and Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi. The new train was inaugurated by Union Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav and BJP MP Anil Baluni by flagging it off from Delhi at 5 pm on Saturday. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually joined from Dehradun in the inauguration program of Kotdwar-Anand Vihar Railway.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav for running the new train between Kotdwar and Delhi’s Anand Vihar Terminal. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also appreciated the efforts of Pauri Garhlaw MP Tirath Singh Rawat, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni and Assembly Speaker and Kotdwar MLA Ritu Khanduri.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that there was a demand for operation of train between Kotdwar and Delhi for a long time, now there will be easy travel from Kotdwar to Delhi by bus as well as by train. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has requested Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav to name the train after Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali, so that the common people of Uttarakhand can feel more connected with this train.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that unprecedented work is being done in Railways under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Indian Railways is moving towards its golden age. Since 2014, Indian Railways is in front of everyone in a new form. The speed of Indian Railways has also increased more than before. Made in India trains like Vande Bharat are becoming a part of the rail network as a symbol of self-reliance and modernity. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the dream of providing rail to the mountains is going to come true by building a railway line from Rishikesh to Karnaprayag in Uttarakhand.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that three railway stations of Uttarakhand are being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Along with this, operation of Vande Bharat train between Dehradun and Anand Vihar this year is a big achievement.
