Uttarakhand: All DBT services will come under the ambit of Right to Service, departments will send proposals in a week

In order to provide timely availability of all 181 Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) services being run by various departments of the State Government for the welfare and interest of various sections of the society, they will be brought under the ambit of the Right to Services Act.
Secretary Information Technology, Suraj and Science Technology Shailesh Bagauli has instructed all the departments to send proposals in this regard soon. Many departments have assured to send the proposal within a week. According to official sources, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also given instructions in this regard during the review meeting.
Following the instructions of the CM, the Secretary reviewed all the departments. According to the minutes of this meeting, there are 181 services of various departments in the Apni Sarkar portal of the state government. Many of these services are being provided on the Apni Sarkar portal, but are not notified under the Right to Service Act.
Will send proposal to government within a week
Some major departments include four in AYUSH Department, 11 in Medical Health and Medical Education, 30 in Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, four in Animal Husbandry Department, seven in Women Empowerment and Child Development, three in Minority Welfare Department, eight in Forest Department and Sanskrit Teacher is a service which is not notified under the Act.
All these departments will send their respective proposals to the government within a week. Regarding the schemes related to the Central Government, the departmental secretaries will establish contact with the Secretary of the Central Government and get the proposal prepared.
This will be beneficial
Most of the welfare schemes of the Central and State Government are being operated through DBT. With these schemes being notified in the Right to Service Act online, the departments will become legally accountable for them. The eligible person will have to provide the benefit of DBT service within a certain time period.
