Andhra Pradesh / Visakhapatnam: When the drunkard refused to give liquor, he set the shop on fire, threw petrol on the staff, property worth lakhs destroyed

In Visakhapatnam, a person set fire to a wine shop after being refused to serve liquor. Actually, there is nothing new in creating ruckus and hue and cry on the occasion of Diwali, but here a drunkard got so intoxicated that he set the liquor shop on fire. Also, in anger, he sprinkled petrol on the employees and tried to set them on fire, although they escaped from there.

The accused was angry at not getting liquor

Actually, this matter is from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Police said on Sunday that the accused has been arrested. It is being told that the shopkeeper had refused to give him liquor, due to which his temper rose. Regarding this incident, Pothinmallayya Palam Inspector Ram Krishna said that a person named Madhu came to a liquor shop in Madurwada area, but since it was the closing time of the shop, the shop staff refused to give him liquor.

This led to an argument between the accused and the employees, after which the accused left the spot after being warned, but on Sunday evening he returned to the shop with a petrol tank, using which he fired shots inside the shop and even on the employees. Also poured petrol and immediately set it on fire.

Police arrested

Police said the employees fled the shop, but the shop was completely gutted and property worth over Rs 1.5 lakh, including computers and printers, was damaged. Inspector Ram Krishna said that a case has been registered against the accused under sections 307 and 436 of the IPC. The accused has been taken into police custody.
