A surprising case has come to light from Bagrain town of Badaun. Here, on Saturday afternoon, a two-year-old child Atif Ali died after eating the poison packed in a packet thrown by a monkey, mistaking it for powder. The condition of his brother Rahat Ali alias Ishaan (4) and neighbor Mannat (5), who also consumed the same poison, deteriorated. Guddu Ali’s two sons Atif Ali and Rahat Ali and neighbor Tehseem’s daughter Mannat were playing on the road outside the house at around 1 pm. According to the family members, at the same time, the condition of the three children deteriorated after eating the poison packed in a packet thrown by a monkey. Foam started coming from his mouth. When the people of the locality saw it, they raised an alarm. Upon coming to know, the family members reached the spot.

He saw a packet of poison lying nearby. Guddu Ali immediately took both the sons to the private hospital in Bisauli. Atif died there, while the condition of the other son, Rahat, got better after treatment. The family members made Mannat vomit by giving him ghee, due to which his condition is said to be improving. Post-mortem of Atif’s body was not conducted.

The monkey smelled the smell and left the packet

In Bagrain town of Wazirganj area, the monkey had picked up a packet of poison from somewhere mistaking it for food. The monkey smelled the smell and left it, but this deadly thing was picked up by three innocent people playing there. The children thought it was a packet of churan. They shared it among themselves and started licking it. Due to this, one innocent person lost his life and the condition of two others deteriorated.

The police is investigating what poison was in the packet and how it got into the monkey’s hands. However, the family members of the children guess that the monkey might have picked up the packet from someone’s house. The packet contains some strong pesticide, which is used in crops. Since there is nothing written on the packet, it is becoming difficult to gather information about it.

Guddu Ali, a resident of the town, does carpentry work. Atif Ali was the youngest of his three sons. His eldest son Alshaiz (8) was also playing outside the house during the accident, but he was some distance away from Atif and Rahat. Atif and Rahat were playing there with neighbor Mannat. At first even he could not understand what had happened to all three. When all three started foaming at the mouth, he raised an alarm. When the family members arrived, an empty packet of poison was lying nearby.

There was some white powder like substance in the packet. The same powder was applied to the children’s hands. Mannat was conscious at that time. He told that a monkey had brought the packet. He left here and went away. They opened the packet and ate it, mistaking it for Charan.

Mannat had spit after licking a little

Family members say that Mannat also took white powder from the packet and tasted it, but spit it out when he found its taste bad. Due to this his condition also got worse. The family members made him vomit by making him drink ghee. Due to this the poison did not have much effect on him.

Dr. Manoj Maheshwari said that the poison that the family had brought along was in a paper bundle. The speed with which the condition of the children deteriorated after consuming the poison and one died made it clear that the poison was quite lethal. A child was brought dead. The condition of the other was very serious. Now his condition is improving with treatment.

SDM Bisauli Kalpana Jaiswal said that on receiving information about the accident, a police team has been sent to the spot. Police are investigating where the poison came from. We have also deployed our team in this, so that the truth can be known. Any action will be taken only after investigating the entire matter.
