On Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue, NDMA said, the pressure to evacuate the workers quickly is wrong, the work is very challenging, hope remains.

Uttarkashi Silkyara Tunnel Rescue Operation is going on. A press conference was held in Delhi on the 12th day. In which the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said that medicines and clothes have been sent for the workers trapped in the tunnel. NDMA has said that soon all 41 laborers will be rescued. Obstacles arising in the rescue operation in the tunnel are being removed. All workers are safe.

Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain, member of the National Disaster Management Authority, gave information about the progress in the Silkyara Tunnel rescue operation of Uttarkashi. He said that this work is very challenging, hence it is wrong to keep expecting that the relief and rescue work will be completed in the next few hours. In such a situation, there is a lot of pressure on the work force. However, there is definitely hope that we will definitely get success in this operation in the next few hours or by tomorrow.

Giving information, NDMA official said that drilling work is being done from five directions of the tunnel. This is a situation in which both the workers trapped inside and the rescue team are at risk. We have to take care of the safety of both. He further said that no option has been left aside to rescue the workers safely. There is no shortage of oxygen in the tunnel. Now 6 meter pipe has to be laid.

NDMA said that such operations are like wars. In such a situation, all the agencies are also on the spot. Along with NDRF, medical teams are also present on the spot. 40 ambulances have also been deployed at the spot. Besides, nearby hospitals have also been put on alert mode. Chinook helicopter has also been deployed on the spot.
