Indore won the India Smart City Award Contest-2020

Another success has come in the account of Indore, the business city of Madhya Pradesh, this city has got the first place in India Smart City Award Contest-2020, while five smart cities of Madhya Pradesh got 11 awards and Madhya Pradesh in the category of states. Got second place. On completion of six years of Smart City Mission, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Hardeep Singh Puri declared the results of India Smart City Contest-2020 in a program organized through virtual meet.

In the declared results, Indore got the first position for 56 shop project in the built environment theme. Similarly, Indore got the first position in the Municipal Waste Management System theme along with Tirupati city in the sanitation theme.

Apart from this, Indore got first place for Conservation of Built Heritage in Culture theme and Gwalior got third place for Digital Museum. Indore got the first position for carbon credit financing mechanism in the economy theme. Bhopal got the first position for clean energy along with Chennai in the urban environment theme.

In the series of awards announced, Indore bagged the first position for Carbon Credit Financing Mechanism in the Innovation Idea Award theme. Indore got first and Jabalpur got third place in round one cities. Sagar got second position in round three cities.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated on this success. On the other hand, Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has also appreciated the entire staff for this remarkable achievement. He has also congratulated the administration and local people of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur including Sagar for this success.
