France Indian Passengers: The plane took off from France carrying Indians, some passengers did not want to return to India, had sought asylum.
A plane of Romanian company Legend Airlines carrying passengers stopped by French authorities at an airport near Paris on suspicion of human trafficking has left for India. The plane is expected to land at Mumbai airport early Tuesday. As per the earlier plan, the plane was to land in Mumbai at 2.20 pm.
At the time of stopping the plane, there were 303 passengers on board, most of whom are Indians. The flight from Dubai to Nicaragua was stopped at Vatry airport, located 150 km east of Paris. Earlier, the plane was delayed in taking off because some of the passengers did not want to return to their native country.
The situation has been confusing for some time
According to Legend Airlines lawyer Liliana Bakayoko, the situation remained confusing for some time. He told BFM TV that some passengers did not want to return to their countries of origin and refused to board the plane.
All the passengers had boarded the flight from Mumbai

Local media quoted Bakayoko as saying the plane was likely to fly towards Mumbai, where the passengers came from. “We are very relieved,” Bakayoko said. We were waiting for this. Some reports say that about four dozen passengers have applied for asylum. Four French judges questioned the passengers at Vatri airport on Sunday. The hearing was held as part of an investigation launched by the Paris Prosecutor’s Office into suspicion of human trafficking. Some passengers presented their views in Hindi and some in Tamil.
