Tennis: Nadal made a comeback; Lost in doubles match, will play singles match on Tuesday
Spain’s legendary tennis player Rafael Nadal has returned to professional tennis after almost a year. He was away from this game for the last one year due to injury. He suffered a hip injury in January 2023 and it took him a long time to recover. After the injury, he came to play in the Brisbane International tournament for the first time. However, he lost in the men’s doubles match.
He is busy preparing for the Australian Open starting from January 14. Nadal and his partner Marc Lopez were defeated by Australia’s Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson 6-4, 6-4. Jordan expressed happiness over Nadal’s return and said that it feels great to see Rafael back on the court. I have lost many times in singles, so it felt good to beat him in the doubles court.
Will play singles match on Tuesday
22-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal will play against Dominic Thiem in the men’s singles match in the Brisbane tournament on Tuesday. This match will strengthen his Australian Open preparations.
