19th Delhi State Wushu Championship 1st day DLWQ team 1st in Taolu

The 19th Delhi State Wushu Championship was held on Saturday by G. R. Grand Inauguration took place at International School, Pooth Khudar, Bawana Road, Delhi. The competition was inaugurated by Kuldeep Vats, Vice President of Indian Olympic Association and President of Delhi Olympic Association.

Around 600 players from Delhi are participating in the competition. Today, the first day of Taulu event was played in which the players of DLWQ team dominated and won the most medals in Taulu event, while the players of Delhi Budokan Wushu Club finished second.

Whereas in Shanshu event, girls’ competition was played and Ananya in 20 kg, Kalpana Goswami in 24 kg, Ayesha Khatoon in 28 kg, Asma Malik in 32 kg won gold while in junior girls, Gunjan in 45 kg, Isha in 48 kg. Sharma, Prachi in 52kg, Mohini in 56kg and Sneh Nagar in 60kg won gold medals.

Tomorrow, on the second and last day of the competition, boys’ junior and men’s matches will be played and prize distribution will also be done.
