He said that this decision has been taken at the behest of the national organization.
Have been demanding honorarium for many years
State President of All India Fair Price Shop Dealers Federation says that ration sellers have been demanding honorarium for the last several years. But their demands are not being heard. The state government is ignoring it.
He says that even the pending payment of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana distributed to the ration vendors during the Corona period has not been made yet. Whereas there is a provision in the Act that ration sellers should get its dividend regularly.
Payment for transportation of ration is not received on time
Ration vendors say that they do not even get paid for ration transportation on time. Especially in the hills, there are many ration sellers who do not get as much dividend as is spent on transportation of ration. The state president of the organization says that although the government has banned strikes in the state, they will still go on strike.
