New Delhi: Daughter-in-law goes to jail for surprising her mother-in-law! Even the police were surprised to hear the ‘story’
A daughter-in-law from New Delhi thought of surprising her mother-in-law. The daughter-in-law made such a plan that she herself ended up behind bars. This matter is from Ashok Nagar area of East Delhi. The police arrested the daughter-in-law on charges of theft and sent her to jail.
According to Delhi Police, New Ashok Nagar police station received information that Rs 3 lakh cash and jewelery had been stolen from a house. When a police team reached the spot, an elderly woman Razia Begum was found there. She told the police that she had gone to a restaurant in Noida Sector-18 with her daughter-in-law, when she returned she found that Rs 3 lakh cash and jewelery were missing from the house.
After the complaint, Delhi Police registered an FIR, fingerprint experts and crime team were called on the spot and investigation was started. When the police checked the CCTV around the house, a woman in burqa was seen coming. When the police further checked the CCTV, it was found that the woman had gone towards Noida Sector-18.
After this, when the police further checked the CCTV footage, the woman’s face was clearly visible in one of the footage. Victim Razia Begum told the police that the woman in burqa was her daughter-in-law, with whom she had gone to the restaurant in Noida Sector 18.
Wore burqa at friend’s house and then went to her in-laws’ house and stole things
After this, the police took the accused daughter-in-law into custody and interrogated her. She told the police that she wanted to surprise her mother-in-law, so she first took her mother-in-law to a restaurant in Sector-18, Noida, made her sit there and ordered food. First she went to her friend’s house. Wore a burqa at her friend’s house and then went to her in-laws’ house and stole things. She kept the stolen goods at an acquaintance’s house and then returned to her mother-in-law.
The daughter-in-law told that during interrogation she wanted to return the cash and jewelery to her mother-in-law, but got scared after seeing the police. Meanwhile, the police has arrested the accused daughter-in-law. Statements have also been recorded. It is being investigated whether the accused woman told these things to mislead.
