All institutions were also invited to participate in the Science Technology State Conference being organized in Haldwani. CM Dhami said that the way scientists from all institutions cooperated in the 6th World Disaster Management Conference held in the month of November-December, Uttarakhand’s reputation has increased in the entire world. In such a situation, there is a need to find new methods for disaster management in the Himalayan states and develop a model to reduce the losses caused by disasters. Through this event, a message in the form of Dehradun Declaration has been broadcast from the heights of the Himalayas highlighting the responsibilities of human society towards nature and its importance in disaster management all over the world. The Chief Minister said that this declaration will prove to be an important document for the whole world including the hilly areas from the point of view of disaster management. Under the Adarsh Champawat Mission, ISRO is under the leadership of Dr. RP Singh, Director, Dr. Harish Karnataka and UCOST. The dashboard is being developed in collaboration. This will prove to be effective in future for other areas and states of the state also. The geographical location of Champawat reflects the situation of entire Uttarakhand. For this, the model here will prove useful for the entire state. In such a situation, there is a need to do more research on this. However, the success of Silkyara Mission has been possible only under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and with the cooperation of all the institutions. CM said that Manaskhand Science Center is also going to be inaugurated in Almora soon.
It will also be a big achievement for Uttarakhand and the hilly region. NITI Aayog has been requested to prepare a separate development model for the Himalayan states. It is the priority of the government to develop an integrated model of holistic and all-round development by bringing together all the scientific institutions present in the state. Through which the government can fulfill the dream of making this decade the decade of Uttarakhand by connecting the marginal rural areas of the state with the mainstream of development and creating an equal balance between ecology and economy.
