Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary Sandhu gave instructions, scrutiny mechanism should be strengthened

Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Under the chairmanship of Sandhu, a meeting of the State Executive Committee was organized in the Secretariat on Wednesday to approve the proposals of State Disaster Response Fund and State Disaster Mitigation Fund. During the meeting, various proposals of the Irrigation and Public Works Department were approved.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed the Secretary Disaster that in future, all the proposals of Disaster Response Fund, State Disaster Mitigation Fund should also be uploaded on Gatishakti portal along with photos and videos. He has instructed Secretary Disaster to issue its circular for all departments.

The Chief Secretary said that if the proposal is not received through the portal, funding from the disaster will not be made. He directed Secretary Disaster to meet ITDA and add necessary provisions and standards in the portal so that proposals outside the standards are not uploaded.

The Chief Secretary said that the work is done on the ground through the districts, hence there is a need to strengthen the districts. He said that the scrutiny mechanism should be strengthened in the districts. He also directed the departments to issue circulars to all the departments to adopt economy without compromising on the quality of work.
