Truth and Reality

Amidst tension with Pakistan and Israel, Iran launched its Soraiya satellite, installed it in orbit 750 km away.

Iran said on Saturday that it had successfully launched its Sorayya satellite and placed it in its highest orbit ever. This satellite launch is part of the same program of Tehran regarding which Western countries have said that Iran is moving towards making an advanced ballistic missile. This announcement by Iran has come at a time when Israel’s attacks against Hamas in the Gaza Strip are continuing and recently Iran and Pakistan have carried out air strikes in each other’s countries. These developments are increasing tension in West Asia.

The Soraya satellite was launched into an orbit about 750 kilometers above the Earth’s surface with a three-stage rocket, state news agency IRNA said. However, no information has been immediately shared regarding which area the satellite is used for. The launch is part of Iran’s civilian space program as well as the space program of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, the report said. The US has previously said Iran’s launch of the satellite violates a UN Security Council resolution and has asked Tehran to refrain from any activity involving ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons. UN sanctions related to Iran’s ballistic missile program expired last October.

Iran’s ongoing tension with Israel, America and Pakistan

America is also talking about supporting the Houthis and other organizations against Israel. In such a situation, once again the tension in the relations between the two countries has increased. Recently its relations with Pakistan have deteriorated considerably. Both Iran and Pakistan have carried out attacks on each other’s soil, claiming to target terrorist groups.
