Uttarakhand: Dhami Cabinet approves more than a dozen proposals, changes in child leave policy, big decision on players too

The Cabinet meeting was held at the Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. During the cabinet meeting, more than a dozen proposals were approved in the cabinet. Along with this, during the cabinet meeting, information was given about the consecration program of Lord Ram’s statue held in Ayodhya on January 22. In the cabinet meeting, Dhami cabinet expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from this, the new excise policy 2024-25 was discussed during the cabinet meeting. Besides, instructions were also given to make some changes in it.

Main points of Dhami cabinet meeting

  • Now assistant engineers will be given vehicle allowance of Rs 4,000 per month.
  • The conveyance allowance given to employees working in government services was also increased. Now vehicle allowance of Rs 1200 to 4000 per month will be given.
  • Dhami cabinet has also made changes in child leave. If child leave is taken twice, 100 percent salary will be given.
  • Dhami cabinet has also taken a decision to increase opportunities for promotion.
  • The Labor Department Bill 2020 will be withdrawn from the table of the House.
  • Dhami cabinet has also amended the mining rules.
  • Approval has been given for the creation of 7 additional posts in the Mining Department. Approval of District Mining Officer in every district.
  • The Cabinet has approved 5 bighas of land for the Bar Association in Dehradun.
  • Decision taken to give 026 hectares of land to Morh under PWD.
  • Dhami Cabinet changed the names of posts in the Animal Department.
  • Under the Fisheries Department, auction of reservoirs will be done for 10 years in the coming time.
  • A bill will be brought in the session to provide 4 percent horizontal reservation in government jobs to players who have won medals in national and international games.
  • Approval to give stability in the eligibility criteria for recruitment under Tourism Department.
  • Yadun village of Uttarkashi included in Vibrant Vizel. The government prepared a roadmap for the development of the village. Under which the government will give incentives to the people living in this village for home stay.
  • Under Lakhwad project, work worth up to Rs 10 lakh can be done at the local level.
  • The private company working in Bhimtal was also asked to work in Garhwal for 5 years. To which a contribution of Rs 24 crore will be given.
  • The disaster department has incurred a lot of expenses during Covid. Whose bills are all pending. In such a situation, 50 percent of the funds coming from the Government of India are allowed to be spent in this. The government has decided to bear all the expenses from the disaster head.
