A case has been registered regarding the maintenance of cows in Kanji House. A case has been registered against the director of Hariram Trust. A case has been registered against the operator under the Animal Cruelty Act.

The Chief Veterinary Officer of the Municipal Corporation had filed a complaint regarding the care of cattle in Kanji House. Based on his complaint, a case has been registered against the director of Hariram Trust. The District Officer and Dehradun SSP have confirmed the registration of the case.
A dead cow was found
Let us tell you that on Wednesday the Chief Veterinary Officer had come to inspect the Kanji House built in Kedarpuram. During inspection, the officer found dead cows in Kanji House. They found two dead cows and six injured ones there. After which, seeing the huge irregularities, the Chief Veterinary Officer had talked about strict action against the operators.
Kanji House will run under the supervision of Municipal Corporation
Let us tell you that District Officer Sonika Singh had also given instructions for investigation on the pitiful condition of cows in Kanji House. He had said that strict action will be taken against whoever is found negligent in this matter. Along with this, the District Magistrate said that now again Kanji House will run under the supervision of Municipal Corporation. Let us tell you that earlier Kanji House located in Kedarpuram was operated by the Municipal Corporation. But in September 2023, as per the instructions of the government, the operation of Kanji House was handed over to Hariom Ashram Kadwapani. The Ashram is responsible for providing fodder, care and treatment to the cattle coming here.
