The fire incident occurred at around 11 am on Tuesday morning in an illegal firecracker factory located on Magardha Road in Harda district. The entire city was shaken by the explosion in the factory. The density of the blast in the firecracker factory can be gauged from the fact that a two-wheeler driver passing through the road near the factory was also hit by flying debris. He got injured due to this. Even iron angles weighing 10-15 kg had flown into the fields.
Army’s help being taken in rescue operation
Army’s help is being taken in the rescue operation after Harda blast. People are being rescued by helicopter. After receiving information about the explosions in the factory, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. Every possible effort is being made to control the fire. More than 50 ambulances have been sent. More than 400 policemen have been sent to maintain law and order in Harda accident.
More than 200 injured brought to hospital
According to the district hospital management, more than 200 injured have been brought to the hospital. These include 132 men and 98 women along with children. The seriously injured have also been referred to Bhopal, Indore, Narmadapuram.
Announcement of compensation for the families of the deceased
In the Harda blast, the state government has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased. Apart from this, the injured will also be treated for free.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief
Expressing grief over the Harda blast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced compensation. PMO India said on the post that the families of all the deceased will be given Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Those injured in this accident will be given assistance of Rs 50,000.
State Congress President demanded investigation
Madhya Pradesh Congress State President Jitu Patwari has demanded an investigation into the accident in the illegal firecracker factory of Harda. Patwari posted on social media “It has happened! I request the government to conduct a detailed investigation into the accident. Arrangements for treatment of the injured should also be ensured immediately.”
Secretary of Home Department will investigate
Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Secretary of the Home Department has been instructed to investigate the entire matter. They will submit the investigation report soon. After this, strict action will be taken against the culprits.
