Here the train kept running for 84 kilometers without a driver, created panic, investigation ordered

A goods train stopped at Kathua Railway Station in Jammu and Kashmir suddenly moved towards Pathankot. This train started running without a driver due to the slope, after which the train continued running without a driver for about 84 kilometers. This incident created panic among the railway officials.

In a hurry, after a lot of effort, the train was stopped near Unchi Bassi in Mukerian, Punjab. Divisional Traffic Manager of Jammu says that investigation into this entire matter has been started.

According to the information, this incident happened around 7:10 am on Sunday morning. The driver had stopped goods train number 14806R in Kathua, Jammu. Here the driver got down from the train and went to drink tea. Meanwhile, the train suddenly started moving and started running after gaining speed.

Sources close to Kathuwa railway station say that the goods train was carrying concrete. This concrete was loaded from Kathua. When the driver and co-driver stopped for tea, the engine was running. Meanwhile, at 7:10 in the morning the train suddenly started. Sources say that the driver did not pull the handbrake before getting off the train.

When the driver saw the train going, he lost his senses

After this, when the driver saw that the train had started, he lost his senses. Information about the matter was given to the higher officials of the Railways. After this, efforts were made to stop the train. Many attempts failed. After this, drivers and employees of passenger trains stopped the train at Uchi Basti area near Dasuha. By that time the train had covered 84 kilometers.

It was fortunate that there was no other train on the track in front, otherwise a major accident could have happened. There is no report of any loss of life or property in this incident. Railways has ordered an investigation into the matter and a team has been sent from Firozpur to find out the reasons.
