Uttar Pradesh: SP MP Shuffikurhman Burke demise, Lee’s last breath at the age of 94

Senior Samajwadi Party leader and Sambhal MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke passed away on Tuesday. He was 94 years old. Shafiqur Rahman Burke was ill for a long time and was admitted to a hospital in Moradabad. Recently, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had also gone to the hospital to meet him. In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party had made him its candidate from Sambhal.

Shafiqur Rahman was the oldest MP in the Lok Sabha. Shafiqur Rahman Burke has been MLA four times and MP five times. He reached Parliament for the first time by winning the Lok Sabha elections in 1996 on Samajwadi Party ticket. At the same time, in the Modi wave of 2014, he also contested the Lok Sabha elections on BSP ticket and won.

Shafiqur Rahman Barq, who was in the news for his statements, was always vocal about the interests of Muslims. Shafiqur Rahman’s son is also an MLA on Samajwadi Party ticket. On the demise of SP MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke, Moradabad MP Dr ST Hasan said, “It is a matter of great regret. I have just come to know that Mr. Shafiqur Rahman Barq Saheb is no more among us. His death is a big loss for all of us and our party. A great leader of the country has passed away from this world. Who never worked out of fear from anyone. Perhaps such brave and honest leaders are very few left in the entire country.
