Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary Radha Raturi gave strict advice to the District Magistrates to monitor the outcome of every scheme run in the districts

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has instructed the District Magistrates of the border districts Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat and Pithoragarh to focus more on skill development, livelihood training and human resource development along with infrastructure development in the border villages of the state. CS Raturi has made it clear to the District Magistrates that by making proposals for infrastructure construction works like buildings etc, they should not just complete the formalities but should work for the continuous successful operation and sustainability of the projects. He has given instructions to focus especially on education and health sectors in the border districts. In the meeting of the State Level Screening Committee/State Level Empowered Committee of Chief Minister Frontier Area Development Program Development Program and Chief Minister Migration Prevention Scheme at the Assembly Building on Wednesday, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has given strict advice to the District Magistrates to monitor the outcome of every scheme run in the districts. .

CS Radha Raturi has instructed the District Magistrates to make financial literacy mandatory for women under all the schemes run for women self-help groups. He has also instructed banks to write letters in this regard. CS has given instructions to operate all the schemes through women self-help groups rather than at the individual level. Along with this, Raturi has also given instructions to give information about how many jobs will be created in each proposal, project or scheme sent by the District Magistrates under the Chief Minister Frontier Area Development Program and the Chief Minister Migration Prevention Scheme.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has instructed the District Magistrates to work seriously on a concrete action plan for maximum expansion of cultivation of local grains millets like Mandua, Jhangora and their production on a large scale. CS has given instructions to work with cluster approach in this regard.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has also alerted the District Magistrates about duplication of various schemes. He has directed that all the schemes should be thoroughly tested so that no two schemes overlap each other. CS has also directed to make efforts in this direction to adopt local procurement by ITBP and Army in vibrant villages.

Secretary Radhika Jha, Additional Secretary Vijay Kumar Jogdande, Manuj Goyal, Ranjana Rajguru along with officials of Rural Development Department, Education, Health Department and District Magistrates of border districts were present in the meeting.
