Bihar: Drug addicts ran away with police rifle, police kept running behind them for 8 kilometers
Youths riding drunk in cars created a ruckus in the district on Thursday night. Near Kalyani Andi Gola Mod, drunk youths in a car tried to crush the police station incharge and a constable. Meanwhile, the rifle of constable Mrityunjay Kumar got stuck in the car. After this the drug addicts ran away with the rifle. A young man was caught with the help of local people. During this, the drug addicts ran the car over the feet of the vegetable seller. Police chased the car riders to catch the drug addicts. After going a long distance, the drug addicts threw the rifle at the barricade. At present the police have recovered the rifle from the spot.
Vegetable sellers hit
Vegetable shopkeeper Akash told that a car passed rapidly from Kalyani towards Jawaharlal Road. Three youths in the car wanted to turn towards Andi Gola. The car stopped because there was a cart in front. In this sequence, a young man got down from the car and started trying to remove the cart. Just then the patrol car of the city police station arrived. The police tried to stop the car, but the occupants of the car started running away rapidly. During this time, the car riders also hit three vegetable vendors.
Police kept chasing for a long time
Meanwhile, SHO Vijay Kumar Singh and police jawan Mrityunjay Kumar, who came from the front, were also hit by the car. A young man got hit by a car. The drug addicts also dragged him for some distance. Police jawan Mrityunjay tried to stop the drug addicts. Then the tape of Mrityunjay’s rifle got stuck on the side of the speeding car. The youth ran away with the rifle stuck in the car. After this, the city police station and other soldiers chased the car with the gypsy. There was chaos from Andi Gola to Bairia Golambar.
Police blocked everywhere
After the message was issued on wireless, police from different police stations started cordoning off the car riders. Police started checking vehicles at various places. After reaching Bairiya, the occupants of the car threw the rifle and ran away towards Bhagwanpur. Blockades were made near Fardo and Bhagwanpur till late night to surround the car riders. Here, in a late night raid, a white car was caught along with three other youths. Police is verifying the youth.
