Delhi / Dwarka: There was a fight over who would offer sacrifice to the goddess, the young man attacked his mother and brother with a knife

There was a dispute in a family in Dwarka area of Delhi regarding ‘sacrifice’ to the Goddess. There was an argument among the family members and the dispute escalated so much that one of the family members attacked his mother and younger brother with a knife. Police said that the accused Ravi has been arrested and a weapon has also been recovered from him.

According to the agency, a senior police officer said that on Thursday, JP Kalan Police Station received information from RTR Hospital that both Abhishek and his mother Nirmala had injury marks on their stomach and face. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment in injured condition. Abhishek’s sister Pooja told the police that her elder brother Ravi attacked her with a knife.

Police said that after a written statement, an FIR has been registered against the accused under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC. The team has also seized the weapon with which the attack was carried out.

During interrogation, it was revealed that the issue of dispute was regarding ‘sacrifice’ to the goddess. There was a debate among them as to who would offer ‘sacrifice’ to the goddess. A fight started over this matter and turned into a fight. The police officer said that further investigation has been started in the matter.
