We have received their resignations but we are examining the rules and constitutional provisions for this, so far we have not accepted their resignations:…
Will contest elections on BJP ticket
We will join BJP and contest the by-elections on BJP ticket. We voted in favor of BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan in the Rajya Sabha elections, after which we were harassed. Make a case by making false allegations. In a democracy, work cannot be done with a feeling of revenge. We cannot continue with this government. That’s why he has resigned. – Hoshiar Singh, MLA Dehra
Chief Minister is doing petty politics
The Chief Minister is doing cheap politics. False FIRs are being lodged against us and our family members. Development has come to a standstill in the state. I am from the Chief Minister’s home district, yet no work has been done for the last 14 months. It has been decided to move forward with Prime Minister Narendra Modi without any selfishness. We will contest the by-elections from BJP. – Ashish Sharma, MLA Hamirpur
The government registered a case and got the business closed
By registering false cases against us, our business was closed. Nalagarh has been yearning for development for 14 months. We have decided to resign in the interest of the people of Nalagarh. Our ideology was of BJP, last time we did not get the ticket, hence contested the elections as an independent. There is full faith in Modi, Shah and Nadda, the public will make us victorious again. -KL Thakur, MLA Nalagarh
Congress raised questions on the resignation of independent MLAs
Congress MLAs Sanjay Ratna and Harish Janartha have raised questions on three independents leaving the legislature. He said that independents will have to tell the people of their constituency what was the compulsion behind leaving the legislature. Why is the burden of by-elections being imposed on the public? Said that when the voters had made him an independent MLA for full five years after defeating the candidates of Congress and BJP in the assembly elections, then under what pressure did he leave the membership of the assembly within a year and a quarter. Why is he insulting the sentiments of the voters of his constituency. He said that these questions will have to be answered by the three independent MLAs. Certainly, all three have played with the sentiments of the people of the state and they will have to answer to the people of the state. In this entire episode, the real face of BJP is also coming in front of the people of the state.
