Uttarakhand : Now BJP’s board will be formed in Haridwar District Panchayat

BJP completely messed up the maths of Congress and BSP by performing vigorously in the three-tier panchayat elections in Haridwar district. By winning 14 out of 44 seats in the district panchayat, the BJP not only managed to gain an edge over the rivals, but is now going to form a board for the first time by bringing in winning members of other parties and with the help of independents. The performance of panchayat elections in Haridwar district is also a big relief for the BJP as the party’s performance in the assembly elections held earlier this year was weaker than before. In the assembly elections held just seven months ago, the BJP got only three seats, while the Congress got five and the BSP got two seats. All the three seats won by BJP are from urban areas. That is, in the rural area, the BJP was lagging behind the rival parties.

BJP won 14 seats out of 44

Now out of 44 seats in the district panchayat, BJP won 14 seats in the panchayat elections. Congress had to be reduced to five and BSP to six seats. The picture of Zilla Panchayat in the last elections was quite the opposite. The BJP then had only three seats, while the BSP managed to win 16 and the Congress 13. It is clear that in this Panchayat election, BJP has made a strong performance in the direction of forming District Panchayat Board for the first time after the formation of the state. The party’s well-thought-out strategy played an important role behind this success for the BJP. The BJP fought this election on the lines of the Champawat assembly by-election focusing on the booth. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made several visits to Haridwar, despite the panchayat elections being held in just one district. This was the first major election challenge for the state president Mahendra Bhatt with a new responsibility, so he also stood on the front.

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank seen in the role of strategist

Haridwar MP and former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank appeared in the role of a strategist in the Panchayat elections. He was active in bringing leaders of other parties having wide support base in his side. Not only this, the BJP also proceeded in a planned manner to touch the figure of 23 required to form the board after the election results. That is why the BJP brought its members figure to 31 in the 44-member Zilla Panchayat by inducting 17 newly elected members, including other parties and independents, in the party till Sunday.

BJP works on the basic mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. In the Panchayat elections of Haridwar district, the public has stamped the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the steps being taken by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the development of the state. Now concrete steps will be taken for the development of rural areas after the formation of a BJP board in the district panchayat.
