Traveling to Kedarnath Dham by helicopter is now going to be expensive. After the opening of doors of Kedarnath Dham on May 10, heli service will start operating for pilgrims from Fata, Sirsi and Guptkashi.

Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority has entered into a three-year contract with aviation companies to operate the Kedarnath Heli service. According to the terms of the contract, this time the heli companies will increase the fare by 5 percent. Let us tell you that in the last visit, more than 1.50 lakh devotees had reached Kedarnath Dham by helicopter.

Booking of tickets will be done through IRCTC
In the last travel season, heli services were operated from other companies including Pawan Hans, Cattral Aviation, Himalayan Heli, Aero Aviation. During the journey, there is a competition for tickets to go to Kedarnath by helicopter. Like last year, this time also tickets will be booked through IRCTC.

Registration will be mandatory
It will be mandatory for pilgrims to get Char Dham Yatra registration done to book helicopter tickets. Without registration, pilgrims will not be able to book helicopter online. With this, a person will be able to book maximum six tickets from one ID. Whereas passengers traveling in groups can book 12 seats at a time.

Let us tell you that during the one-way journey to Kedarnath Dham last year, the helicopter fare per person was Rs 2749 from Sirsi to Kedarnath, Rs 2750 from Phata to Kedarnath, Rs 3870 from Guptkashi to Kedarnath. This year this fare will be increased by five percent.
