“Israel is fighting a bloody and difficult war”, President Herzog said on 6 months of Gaza War

“Israel is fighting a bloody and difficult war,” President Isaac Herzog said in a statement on Sunday, marking the six-month anniversary of the Israel-Hamas war. Herzog said Saturday, “Tomorrow morning at 6:29 a.m. we mark six months since the brutal terrorist attack and horrific massacre.” Let us tell you that on October 7, Hamas attacked Southern Israel, due to which this war started.

The President said, “It has been half a year since this crime against our sisters and brothers, against our state, against humanity. It has been six months since the bloody and difficult war started.” Herzog’s comments came after the army announced that it had recovered the body of Elad Katzir. Elad Katzir was a hostage who was murdered in captivity in Gaza in January.

According to Israeli data, a Hamas attack on October 7 killed 1,170 people in southern Israel, mostly civilians. The army says that out of 250 hostages captured by Palestinian terrorists, 129 remain in Gaza, of which 34 are considered dead.

Israeli retaliatory strikes against Hamas have killed at least 33,137 people in Gaza, mostly women and children, according to the Hamas-run territory’s health ministry.
