Punjab: Shiromani Akali Dal fielded candidates on 7 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab, it got the ticket in front of Hansraj Hans

Shiromani Akali Dal has announced its candidates for seven Lok Sabha seats of Punjab. Shiromani Akali Dal has made Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema its candidate from Gurdaspur. Along with this, the party has expressed confidence in Prem Singh Chandu Majra from Anandpur Sahib. NK Sharma has been fielded from Patiala. The party has made Anil Joshi its candidate from Amritsar.

Apart from this, SAD has expressed confidence in Vikramjit Singh Khalsa from Fatehgarh Sahib. Also, Rajvinder Singh has been fielded from Faridkot. Whereas Iqbal Singh Jhunda has been given ticket from Sangrur. On the occasion of Baisakhi, Akali Dal has declared its seven candidates.

This time the election battle on Faridkot seat of Punjab is going to be very interesting. BJP has made singer Hans Raj Hans its candidate for this seat. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party led by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has made Karamjit Anmol its candidate. And now Shiromani Akali Dal has fielded Rajvinder Singh. Whereas, local leader Dinesh Singh Babbu has been given ticket by BJP from Gurdaspur. Whereas from here SAD has placed its bet on Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema.

Sukhbir Badal’s attack on BJP

Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal is continuously engaged in campaigning. On Thursday (April 11), he took a dig at BJP and said that people are joining BJP, their DNA test should be done. Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal described his party as the voice of Punjab. Sukhbir Singh Badal’s statement regarding DNA test came some time after SAD leader Sikandar Singh Maluka’s son Gurpreet Singh Maluka and daughter-in-law Parampal Kaur Sidhu joined BJP.

Let us tell you that 2011 batch IAS officer Parampal Kaur Sidhu had resigned from her post earlier this month and then joined BJP. Voting for all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab will be held in a single phase on June 1. Whereas, the results will be declared on June 4.
