Big action by CBI in Dehradun, CPWD assistant engineer arrested for taking bribe.
CBI team has taken major action in Dehradun. The CBI on Tuesday arrested an assistant engineer of the Central Public Works Department with a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.

According to the information, the Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against the Assistant Engineer of CPWDB on the basis of a complaint. The accused is accused of demanding bribe from the victim. The assistant engineer had demanded a bribe of Rs 5 lakh 50 thousand from the contractor in the name of NOC for the construction work of the residential colony at the victim border gate, Dehradun. About which the victim complained to CBI.
Arrested while demanding bribe of one lakh
Everyone’s team reached the spot and arrested the assistant accused engineer red handed while taking Rs 1 lakh from the victim as payment. According to the press release by CBI Headquarters Delhi, CBI searched the premises of the accused. During the search, cash amounting to about Rs 20 lakh 49 thousand 500 was recovered from the residential premises of the accused and some incriminating documents were recovered. The investigation of the case is currently going on.
