Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav held a joint press conference in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Both of them first congratulated Ram Navami. After this he started his speech and targeted the Congress fiercely. Akhilesh said that the wind blowing from the west is spreading across the country. Both the leaders are holding a press conference in support of Congress candidate Dolly Sharma from Ghaziabad ahead of the first phase of elections in Western Uttar Pradesh. In 2019, Congress Party had given ticket to Dolly Sharma from this seat, when she got around 1 lakh votes.

Akhilesh Yadav said, “Today the farmers are sad, everything said by the Bharatiya Janata Party is false. The dreams shown are also incomplete. I have full hope that India coalition government will be formed. Dolly Sharma will face BJP’s Atul Garg, who is a BJP MLA from Ghaziabad and a former cabinet minister. In 2019, BJP’s General VK Singh had won from Ghaziabad by about 7 lakh 48 thousand votes.

Rahul Gandhi said that on one hand Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and BJP are trying to destroy democracy. At the same time, Congress is trying to save the Constitution.
