Uttarakhand: Election Commission gave strict instructions to Ganesh Godiyal, know the whole matter and read what was said?

Amidst the Lok Sabha elections, politics is heated due to Satpuli liquor case. Recently, more than 9 thousand boxes of liquor were seized from a closed factory in Ekeshwar area. Regarding this, Congress candidate Ganesh Godiyal had released a video and made serious allegations against BJP and its party candidate Anil Baluni. Now the Election Commission has given a strict warning to Ganesh Godiyal in this matter. Also clearly said that he should not again make allegations against anyone without any facts and confirmation.

In fact, recently the Excise Department and FST had found 9331 liquor boxes in the closed bottling plant in Satpuli area. Due to which Congress workers created ruckus. Not only this, Congress candidate Ganesh Godiyal not only made statements by coming live on his social media. In fact, many allegations were made against government officials including BJP candidate Anil Baluni. At that time Ganesh Godiyal had said that this liquor was ordered without bill and for distribution during elections. Due to which the matter became heated.

Anil Baluni had demanded action from the Election Commission

On Congress’s allegations, BJP candidate Anil Baluni said that the opposition party is making baseless allegations. There were two locks on the liquor factory and it was lying closed. Liquor was already kept there, but Congress has made false allegations against them. So that, he can earn his political bread. Therefore, he had complained to the Election Commission in this matter and demanded action.

At the same time, after the matter came to light, the District Magistrate/Nodal Officer of Pauri got the matter investigated. Also, Ganesh Godiyal was asked to present evidence and facts on the liquor related matter, but Ganesh Godiyal was unable to present the facts and evidence. Now the Election Commission has warned him not to make such statements in future. Because, it comes in violation of the code of conduct. Also, strict instructions have been given that such acts should not be repeated in future.

At the same time, Pauri Returning Officer has sent a letter to Ganesh Godiyal. In which it has been said that on the basis of no facts and evidence, he has made allegations not only against government employees, officials and BJP candidates. Therefore, no such statements and allegations should be made in future. Because, it comes under the purview of violating the code of conduct.
