Uttarakhand: Those spreading rumors on social media during voting are in trouble

Voting is to be held on all five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand on April 19. Just before voting, District Election Officer Vandana Singh organized a press conference. In which he told that on the day of voting, if any person is found spreading rumors on social media, uploading misleading photos and videos, then strict action will be taken against him.

District administration ready for voting

District Election Officer Vandana Singh said that the district administration is fully prepared for voting. Police force and administration teams have been deployed to ensure that no provision of any kind occurs during voting. He told that 8 lakh 119 voters will vote in the entire district. Which includes 41,5657 men, 38,4446 women and 16 third gender voters. 1,120 polling parties have been sent across the district to cast votes. In which 110 polling parties have been kept in reserve.

Action will be taken against those spreading rumors on social media

The District Election Officer said that on the day of voting, an opportunity is seen that some people try to influence the voters by posting old and misleading posts on social media. Due to which social media is being monitored. At the same time, legal action will be taken against the person who is found uploading and posting misleading photos and videos on social media on the day of voting.

Tight security for fair voting

District Election Officer Nainital Vandana Singh said that one Sakhi booth each has been made in all the assembly constituencies of the district, while 201 wearable and 103 critical booths have been made in the entire district. Apart from this, 3,361 police personnel, two companies of PAC and seven companies of paramilitary force have been deployed to conduct fair voting in the district. He said that people whose name is in the voter list and do not have voter ID card can vote by showing Aadhar card, driving license, MNREGA job card, PAN card, passport and government documents with photo as identity proof. .
