Uttarakhand: Congress demanded a high-level investigation into the Covid vaccine issue, sent a memorandum to the President, also raised questions on election donations

Uttarakhand Congress Committee has sent a memorandum to President Smt. Draupadi Murmu demanding a high-level investigation into the anti-Covid vaccine Covishield case and has requested to ensure that due compensation is provided to the citizens who suffer from taking the said vaccine and who People are suffering from many unwanted diseases due to the vaccine, the company should guarantee their treatment, and also recovery should be done from the funds of the Bharatiya Janata Party led government which benefits the vaccine manufacturing company. Congress has demanded that accountability of those guilty of playing with the precious health of the people of the country should be ensured. The memorandum also demands that the people guilty of serious criminal acts under the influence of political interests should be given the harshest punishment, so that such criminal conspiracies do not recur in the future. Congress leaders have sent this memorandum through the District Magistrate. In the absence of the District Magistrate, the memorandum was submitted to Dehradun City Magistrate Pratyush Kumar. Those who submitted the memorandum included State Congress Committee Chief Media Coordinator Rajeev Maharshi, former Metropolitan President Lal Chand Sharma, State Congress Vice President Puran Singh Rawat, Metropolitan Congress President Jaswinder Singh Gogi, Chandramohan Kandari, Sunil Nautiyal, Sanjay Sharma, Rohit Thakur, State Secretary. Uttarakhand Congress Vikas Negi, Amit Masih and other leaders were present.

It has been said in the memorandum that due to various media reports in the country and the world, a high-level investigation should be conducted into the matter of fatal side effects of Covishield and those guilty of playing with public health should be punished under the rule of law. During the Corona period, when the entire humanity was in crisis, the Covid vaccine was being considered as an elixir, because the death toll was continuously increasing. But the way media reports are coming out today, they have not only shocked the entire humanity but have also increased the concern.

Congress leaders have said in the memorandum that in the documents presented in the British court, AstraZeneca, the manufacturer of the Covid vaccine, has greatly increased the concern of the Indian society by accepting the side effects. This report is even more worrying for India because during the spread of Covid-19 in India, the same Oxford-EstroZeneca vaccine was used on a large scale under the name of Covishield and it was manufactured by the Serum Institute of Pune. Most of the vaccines given to Indian citizens have been given by this company. Therefore, the company’s admission about the side effects of the said vaccine has raised serious concerns about public health.

It has been specifically mentioned in the memorandum that the Indian company Serum Institute of India had produced this vaccine in the country under the license obtained from AstroZeneca and it was used not only in India’s Covid vaccination campaign, but also It was also exported to many countries of the world. Lawsuits filed by victims against AstroZeneca have revealed the fact that people suffered brain damage after taking this vaccine. Due to this, anxiety has naturally increased in the Indian society also. After Covid, the number of such deaths had increased significantly, the cause of which was not clearly known. Most of these were linked to some physical problem and the government and the health world never believed that this could happen due to the side effects of the Covid vaccine. Now the company has admitted that the side effects of this vaccine can result in the formation of blood clots in the body, a condition called thrombosis thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS). Medical experts also believe that TTS is related to a disease called clotting in the blood vessels of the brain or other internal organs and low platelet count. In this situation, there is no doubt that anti-Covid vaccines have helped prevent many deaths at that time, yet their side effects are a matter of serious concern.

The memorandum also cites media reports which say that concerns over public health have added fuel to the fire. Not only this, according to the details submitted by the Reserve Bank of India to the Election Commission after the instructions of the Supreme Court, the company making anti-Covid vaccine in India has given election donations of more than Rs 52 crore to the ruling party and this donation is in the form of electoral bonds. It was given in the same period when the country was going through the Covid crisis. In this sense, the ruling party gave priority to the interests of the company rather than the health of the general public. Due to this reason, the suspicion increases that just for the sake of election donations, the interests of the company were given priority over the health of the general public, thus this act is not only unforgivable but it is a disaster for this nation from every point of view – legal, moral and human. is contrary to. A demand has been made to the President to conduct an impartial investigation into the entire incident and punish the culprits to ensure the safety of public health.
