Uttarakhand: Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya roared, said – Forests are burning, the government is sleeping
The forest fires in Uttarakhand are continuously taking a severe form. Forest wealth in Kumaon and Garhwal is being damaged due to forest fires. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya has expressed his concern over the fire in the forests of the state. Yashpal Arya has said that due to the fire, along with the damage to the forests, there is also a serious threat to the animals and the environment.
Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that due to the fire, water sources are drying up, the fire in the burning forests of the state is also affecting the glaciers. Due to which the environment has become a serious threat. Yashpal Arya says that water, forest and land are our heritage. But every year there is a loss of crores of rupees due to forest fires. He has called it a serious challenge for the coming future. He said that when the forests, water sources and glaciers of the state will not survive, then the existence of the mountains will also not survive.
Yashpal Arya says that he is not accusing any government, but is stating the truth and drawing attention towards the warning. He said that the land in the hilly districts is sinking and the forests are burning, but the government does not have any concrete action plan to stop it. Even in the forest department, there is a shortage of forest personnel and the government also does not seem serious in this direction. Instead of being serious about forests, the BJP government has limited itself to election campaigning and electoral politics. He believes that a worrying situation is going to arise due to the fire in the forests of the state.
