Champions League: Real Madrid reached the final for the second time in three seasons, now they will face Dortmund
Spanish football team Real Madrid made a comeback after falling behind in the second leg of the semi-finals and defeated Bayern Munich 2-1 to reach the Champions League final for the second time in three seasons. Earlier, Madrid had also made it to the final in the 2021-22 season where it won the title by defeating Liverpool. Madrid won 4-3 on the basis of aggregate score. The first leg of the semi-final match between the two teams was tied 2-2.

The first half between the two teams was goalless. Munich started the scoring in the second half, but Joselu scored two goals for Real in the second half. Alphonso Davies gave Bayern the lead in the 68th minute. Bayern’s victory seemed almost certain, but Joselu equalized Real Madrid 1-1 in the 88th minute. Joselu scored another goal in the first minute of injury time (90+1st minute) to ensure Real Madrid’s victory and give them a place in the final. In the final, Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund in London on June 1. Alphonso Davies has become the first Canadian footballer to score a goal in a Champions League knockout match.
