This langur named Mangal is known for his flamboyant nature and sharp eyesight. It has been called from Haryana. This Langur Mangal has been entrusted with the responsibility of protection from the terror of monkeys in the BJP office. The specialty of Mangal is that he works on the instructions of his master.
In view of the Lok Sabha elections in Basti, BJP MP and candidate Harish Dwivedi has opened an election office in the campus of Arvind Pal on Malviya Road. BJP leaders keep visiting this office. There is also arrangement for food for the people coming to the office. After the office opened, red faced monkeys started coming.
The monkeys started harassing them every day, due to which the BJP leaders got fed up. Many people started running away in fear of the monkeys. The situation became such that the number of people coming and going in the office started decreasing. Meanwhile, someone informed BJP leaders about Langur Mangal.
After getting the information, Mangal was called from Haryana and he was put on duty of protection from monkeys in his office. For this Mangal gets one thousand rupees daily. That means Mangal gets a salary of Rs 30 thousand every month. The langur’s job is to chase away red-faced monkeys throughout the day.
After the arrival of langur, we have got relief from the terror of red faced monkeys. BJP leaders have signed a contract for this responsibility of langur till the elections. After the elections are over, the langur will return back to Haryana.
Mangal is not a common monkey. Seeing the potential of Mars, duty was imposed around the Ram temple in Ayodhya also a few days ago. In return he got Rs 10,000 for a few days. Mangal’s caretaker told that he has been living with Mangal for the last 5 years. Wherever he goes, he takes his family along so that Mangal can also be taken care of.
Here in Basti, the food arrangements for Mangal and his owner are being made by the BJP office. Mars does not sleep without a fan. Therefore, a fan has been arranged for him by the office. With the arrival of Mangal, BJP’s election office in Basti has become buzzing.
