Record: Conquered Mount Everest for the 29th time, know who is mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa
Nepal’s legendary mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa created history on Sunday by climbing the world’s highest peak Mount Everest for the 29th time. During this, he broke his own record of climbing Mount Everest for the maximum number of times.
According to Tourism Department Director Rakesh Gurung, the 54-year-old experienced mountaineer successfully reached a height of 8849 meters on Sunday at 7:25 am local time. It was organized by Seven Summit Treks in which 20 mountaineers were involved and these mountaineers completed the climb on Sunday morning. It included mountaineers from different countries, of which 13 were from Nepal. Kami first climbed Mount Everest in 1994.
Climbed last year too
Last year too Kami successfully climbed Mount Everest twice. By climbing Mount Everest for the 28th time, Kami became the mountaineer who climbed Mount Everest the most number of times. Last year itself Pasand Dawa Sherpa also climbed Everest for the 27th time, but it is still doubtful whether he will do so this season.
