Uttarakhand: Heavy hailstorm along with rain in the afternoon in Uttarkashi and Tehri

The weather pattern changed in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand in the afternoon. There was heavy rain in Uttarkashi and Tehri. After which a drop in temperature was recorded. People have got relief from the heat due to continuous rains.

People got relief from the heat due to rain in some areas of Uttarkashi and Tehri. Along with rain, severe hailstorm was also seen. Farmers’ fruits and vegetables were completely destroyed due to hailstorm. Along with this, there was waterlogging on Gangotri Highway due to half an hour of rain. Due to which the devotees going on the yatra had to face problems.

Alert issued for these districts
According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of rain with strong thunderstorms and light snowfall in some areas of Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi on Sunday. Rest of the districts will remain partly cloudy.
