Rs 40 crore cash found, counting still not complete… Even IT officers were surprised to see the immense wealth of shoe traders.

The Income Tax Department has taken major action in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Here a raid was conducted on the premises of three shoe traders, in which unaccounted property was found. Official sources say that till now cash worth Rs 40 crore has been found, the remaining cash is being counted.
According to the information, during the raid, a pile of notes was found at the shoe businessman’s house, among which were Rs 500 notes. How much cash is there is still being counted. The Income Tax Department has entrusted the responsibility of counting the notes to the bank officers and employees.
Till now counting of Rs 40 crore has been done. Of which there is no accounting. The remaining amount is being counted. Officers and employees got tired while counting such huge amount of notes.
The Income Tax Department suspected him of tax evasion and having disproportionate assets. When the department received information regarding this, the team raided the premises of three shoe traders. However, departmental officials are still avoiding speaking in this matter.
IT raided 20 locations including Kanpur, unaccounted property was found
Earlier, the Income Tax Department had conducted a massive raid in Kanpur, UP. The department had raided Banshidhar Tobacco Company here. Apart from Kanpur, this company had also expanded its business in Mumbai, Delhi and Gujarat. After receiving information regarding this, raids were conducted at about 20 places.
Sources had said that this tobacco company showed its turnover on paper as around Rs 20 to 25 crores, but when investigated, it was found that the turnover of the company was around Rs 100-150 crores.
The department had conducted this raid on 29 February 2024. The owner of the company had also built a house in Delhi. When Income Tax officers reached Delhi, cars worth more than Rs 60 crore were found there. There was also a Rolls-Royce Phantom worth Rs 16 crore.
