Cabinet minister Chandan Ramdas died due to heart attack. Cabinet minister Chandan Ramdas breathed his last at the district hospital in Bageshwar. After getting the news of the death of Chandan Ramdas, all the ministers of Dhami government have canceled their programs. At the same time, after the death of Chandan Ramdas, a state holiday has been declared for three days.

The state government has decided that all offices, banks, treasuries, sub-treasuries will remain closed for one day today and there will be state mourning in the state from April 26 to April 28 (three days). Along with this, the national flag will remain half-tilted in the government offices of all the districts of the state.

Along with this, all the offices of the state government will remain closed in the district where the last rites of Chandan Ram Das will be performed. The last rites of Chandan Ram Das will be performed with police honours. This order has been issued by Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman.

It should be noted that Minister Chandan Ramdas was ill for a long time. On Wednesday, his health deteriorated while visiting Bageshwar. He was having trouble breathing, after which he was admitted to the district hospital in Bageshwar. Minister Chandan Ramdas died during treatment. Even before this, his health deteriorated during the Gairsain assembly session and he had to leave the session.
