‘Martyrdom of soldiers will be remembered’, PM Modi strongly condemns Chhattisgarh Naxal attack
On Wednesday (April 26) in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district, 10 DRG jawans and a driver lost their lives in an IED attack by Maoists. Police officials told that Naxalites exploded the landmine in Aranpur police station area of the district. In which 10 security force personnel and a driver were martyred. PM Modi has strongly condemned this attack.
The Prime Minister tweeted that he strongly condemns the attack on Chhattisgarh Police in Dantewada. We pay our respects to the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the attack. His sacrifice will always be remembered. My condolences to the bereaved families.
President also condemned
President Draupadi Murmu has also condemned this attack. He said that I condemn the attack on police forces in Chhattisgarh. On behalf of all the countrymen, I express my condolences to the families and loved ones of the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the defense of the country.
IED attack
DRG jawans were attacked in Chhattisgarh when they were returning after completing an operation. Sundarraj, Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range, told that we had launched a campaign on a tip-off. When the team was returning after completing the operation, the vehicle was hit by an IED. There were 10 District Reserve Guard jawans in the vehicle and one was the driver. The dead bodies of the martyred soldiers are being brought back. Senior officers are present on the spot.
Amit Shah spoke to CM
Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and inquired about the martyred soldiers and assured them of all possible help. On the other hand, Chhattisgarh’s Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu said that the information about the hiding of Naxalites had come, after which the DRG jawans had reached there. He was returning after the operation when his vehicle came under the grip of IED. 10 jawans and a driver were martyred in the incident. We have sent more force. In the last 4 years, the movement of Naxalites has decreased by 60%.
