The younger son of the house jumped into the well to save a chicken. Not seeing him coming out for a long time, the elder brother also jumped into the water. But when he also did not come out, seeing this a local boy also went inside the well. When no trace of him was found, the family members informed the police.
This incident happened in Lakhimpur area of Cachar district of Assam. The rooster of a family living in Tractor Tila settlement had suddenly fallen into the well. To save it, two brothers of the family, Manjit Deb and Prosenjit Deb Kumar, jumped in to save the chicken and bring it up. But after not finding any movement from them for a long time, a local boy named Amit Sen descended inside the well. After leaving, there was no movement from him, then the family members felt that something was wrong.
After this the local police-administration was informed. Then the local police-administration called SDRF. After this, in the rescue operation, the team took out the bodies of the three people from inside the well. According to the information, all three of them died due to suffocation due to poisonous gases inside the well.
SP Cachar Numal Mahatta said, this incident is very unfortunate. A man had fallen inside the well. Two more men were sent to save him. Then there was no trace of the three men. Then their family members informed the police-administration, then our SDRF and NDRF team reached the spot and took out the bodies of all three from the well. The bodies have been sent to Silchar Medical College for post-mortem.
