Travelers coming to Yamunotri should pay attention…Now they will have to return after darshan in 60 minutes, this is the new arrangement

To make the movement on the Yamunotri walking route smooth and safe, DM Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht has fixed the maximum number and time period for the movement of horses, mules and sticks from Jankichatti to Yamunotri.
Whereas a traveler going to Yamunotri by horse-mule and stick-candi will have to return after 60 minutes. If this does not happen, the operators will return without taking the passenger. According to the order of DM, the maximum number of horses and mules traveling from Jankichatti to Yamunotri and from Yamunotri to Jankichatti has been fixed at 800.
The time for movement of horses and mules on this route will be from 4 am to 5 pm only. On completion of the round of 800 horses and mules, horses and mules will be sent from Jankichatti in the same ratio in which they will be returned from Yamunotri.
The administration has also fixed a time period of five hours for the departure of each horse-mule, darshan of the passenger and return. No horse or mule will remain on the travel route for more than five hours.
The operation of horse and mule will be done from prepaid counter. The slip will also be cut there and payment will be made there. This information will be given to the passenger through loudspeaker.
In the DM’s order, the maximum number of Dandi-Kandi traveling from Jankichatti to Yamunotri has been fixed at 300. Their travel time is fixed from 4 am to 4 pm.
Each vehicle on the travel route will be able to travel only for six hours. These will be released in lots of 50. After one lot is released, the second lot will be released one hour later as per rotation. Dandi-Kandi will be operated only from Birla Dharamshala.
