Uttarakhand: One female devotee died and three were injured after a boulder fell on the Yamunotri walking path

During the Yamunotri Dham Yatra, a woman devotee died tragically due to debris and boulders falling on the Jankichatti walking path. While another traveler and two sanitation workers are reported to be injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

The accident is being told of Wednesday. According to the information received, devotees were going on a pilgrimage to Yamunotri Dham on the Jankichatti walking path. During this, a huge amount of debris and boulders suddenly fell from the rock in front of the Jankichatti police post. Deepali Sandeep Gawade (33), a resident of Maharashtra, died tragically on the spot after being hit by it.

Three devotees injured in the accident

In the accident, another devotee Santosh Vanmore and two sanitation workers are reported to be injured. The injured have been rushed to the hospital in a hurry. Where they are undergoing treatment. While the police have taken the body of the deceased devotee in their possession and sent it for post-mortem.

Police appealed to the pilgrims to travel intermittently

Uttarkashi Police has appealed to the pilgrims visiting Yamunotri Dham and said that it is rainy season these days at the Dham and the Yatra halts. During the journey, all the pilgrims should keep raincoats, umbrellas, warm clothes, necessary medicines with them. During heavy rains, travel intermittently at safe places.
