Uttarakhand stalwarts disappointed at getting only one post in the Union Cabinet, Congress calls it biased, know what is the discussion in the state

Discussions have started in the political corridors of Uttarakhand about the impact of the structure of the Union Cabinet on Uttarakhand politics. Somewhere people were already considering the parliamentary candidate as a Union Minister, while somewhere even the advantage of being a former Chief Minister could not get a ministerial post.

Full public support from Uttarakhand, yet only one Union Minister of State

After the Lok Sabha elections, the picture of the third term of the Modi government and its cabinet has also become clear. Ajay Tamta, who won the election from Almora seat of Uttarakhand, has been included in the Union Cabinet. He has been given the portfolio of Union Minister of State for Road and Transport. Out of the five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand, only one Lok Sabha seat, Almora MP Ajay Tamta, has been given the status of Union Minister of State. If we talk about the contribution given by Uttarakhand to the Bharatiya Janata Party, then in the last three Lok Sabha elections, all the five seats of the state have been going in their kitty. In such a situation, Uttarakhand was expecting that some big face would be given the responsibility as a Union Full Flash Minister from the Center. But this did not happen, rather only to balance the caste equation and keeping the Dalit class in mind, Ajay Tamta from Almora has been given the portfolio of Union Minister of State for Road and Transport.

The plans of the three MPs of Garhwal division have been dashed

After the formation of the Union Cabinet of BJP came out, the hopes of many veterans who contested the Lok Sabha elections from Uttarakhand have been dashed. Especially the hopes of the three Lok Sabha MPs who contested the elections on the three Lok Sabha seats coming in the Garhwal division of Uttarakhand have been dashed. First of all, let us talk about the Tehri Lok Sabha seat. Maharani Mala Rajya Lakshmi has been winning the MP election from the Tehri Lok Sabha seat from Uttarakhand for the last four consecutive times. According to seniority, her supporters were expecting that this time she would be given a place in the cabinet. However, people who know the Maharani closely believe that the Maharani is from the royal family, so she is not interested in any kind of ministerial post.

Trivendra’s hopes also shocked

Talking about the other face, former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has won the election from Haridwar Lok Sabha seat. Trivendra is considered to be very close to PM Modi and Amit Shah. Till now the pattern has been that the former Chief Minister is given a full fledged ministry at the Centre. Trivendra Rawat and his supporters also hoped that the way he was trusted as the Chief Minister, in the same way he would now be made a Union Minister. But this did not happen.

Anil Baluni also could not get the ministerial post

If we talk about the Garhwal seat, when Anil Baluni, a member of PM Modi’s team, was contesting the election, at that time there were discussions in his election campaign that not an MP but the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister was contesting the election from the Garhwal Lok Sabha seat. Not only this, many Union Ministers, including Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, had said from the open stage during Anil Baluni’s election campaign that Anil Baluni has not been sent here only to become an MP, but they have thought a lot for him. This made it easier for people to believe that after winning the election from Garhwal, Anil Baluni will directly get a place in the Union Ministry. But at present this has not happened. This can be expected in the near future.

Ajay Bhatt’s hands empty even after record-breaking victory

Apart from this, another MP from Kumaon division who won the election with a record-breaking margin of votes. He was also a minister in the center earlier, he was expected to get a place in the Union Cabinet again. But now after Ajay Tamta, who won from Almora Pithoragarh Lok Sabha seat, became Union Minister of State, it is very difficult for Nainital MP Ajay Bhatt to get a place in the Union Cabinet at present.

Opposition said – Garhwal was cheated

After seeing the form of the Union Cabinet that emerged as Modi’s third term, the opposition has become very aggressive on the BJP. Congress says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP have cheated the people of Uttarakhand. The way the people of Uttarakhand have given victory to the Bharatiya Janata Party on all five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand for the last three consecutive times, the MPs of Uttarakhand have not been given a place in the Union Cabinet in that proportion. Congress spokesperson Garima Dasauni said that Garhwal division of Uttarakhand has been completely ignored in this third term cabinet of PM Modi. The way the Chief Minister is from Kumaon and now the Union Minister has also been made from Kumaon, this is definitely a bias against the workers of Garhwal region and the people of Garhwal region, which the people are seeing.

BJP said- Our experienced leaders have faith in totality

When BJP’s state vice president Jyoti Prasad Gairola was talked to on this whole subject, he said that his Almora MP Ajay Tamta has been given a place in the Union Cabinet. This is a very big achievement for Uttarakhand. He also said that Almora MP Ajay Tamta is a very experienced leader. He has also been a part of the Union Cabinet in the first term of the Modi government. Now he has been given a place in the Union Cabinet for the second time, which is a big achievement for Uttarakhand. Apart from this, on the question of not including any MP from Garhwal region in the Union Cabinet, he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party believes in totality. If any person from any part of Uttarakhand is given responsibility, then it is a big achievement for the whole of Uttarakhand. He said that from time to time, responsibility is given to whoever the party considers useful.
