According to the Director of the Meteorological Department, Vikram Singh, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder at high altitudes of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts today. Whereas, a yellow alert has been issued regarding heat wave in the plains. However, the weather may change after June 17.

According to meteorologists, the weather is likely to change after June 17. Light to moderate rain can be seen from the mountains to the plains. According to the forecast issued by the Director of the Meteorological Department, Vikram Singh, pre-monsoon is going to start in the state from June 17. Due to which there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in most parts of the state.

Meteorologists gave this advice to the travellers

According to the meteorologists, this time the monsoon is expected to reach Uttarakhand after June 25. Which is close to normal. Meteorologists said that these days the Chardham Yatra is at its peak. There is a danger of land slide after rain in the hilly areas. In such a situation, meteorologists have advised the pilgrims coming on the Yatra to make plans only after seeing the weather update.
