Uttarakhand: Protests continue over the firing incident, Dhami’s bulldozer will run on the illegal property of the accused

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, MLA Raipur met the family members of the deceased Ravi Badola alias Deepak Badola and assured them of the strictest punishment to the culprits. After which the family members seemed satisfied.

On the appeal of the Native and Land Law Coordination Struggle Committee, business establishments remained closed for two hours in a limited area. Rest of the places remained ineffective. The protesters demonstrated at Dobhal Chowk for giving strict punishment to the culprits and tried to disrupt the traffic.

The police detained the protesters from the spot. During this, a large number of police forces were present. On the instructions of CM Dhami, Raipur MLA Umesh Sharma Kau and SSP Ajay Singh met the victim’s family and assured to punish the accused in every possible way.

Deceased Ravi Badola’s wife Urvi said that the murder case should be run in a fast track court so that the culprits can get severe punishment. In the memorandum addressed to the CM, many demands were made including strict punishment to the culprits. Apart from this, MLA Raipur also went to the hospital to see Subhash Chhetri and Manoj Negi injured in the firing incident.

SSP Ajay Singh, who was present with the MLA, said that the property illegally acquired by the accused will be seized under the Gangster Act.

If the property of the accused is found to be illegal, demolition proceedings will be initiated. He also assured them that by ensuring strong advocacy of the said case in the court, all the accused involved in the incident will be given the strictest punishment.

Apart from this, effective action will be taken against all those who are found involved with the accused in their illegal business. During the meeting with the family members of the deceased Deepak Badola, the family members told that we had never demanded any compensation for the deceased and the injured, some people are spreading false propaganda to fulfill their purpose.
