Uttarakhand: The parking problem in Nainital will be solved soon, CM Dhami made this request to the Defense Minister
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and congratulated him on behalf of the people of the state on getting the responsibility of the Defense Ministry again.
Requested to give the land of Defense Estate to the state
The Chief Minister requested the Defense Minister to agree to provide the land of the Defense Estate Department located in Nainital to the state government for the development of parking facilities, keeping in mind the convenience of tourists and devotees coming from the country and abroad in the tourist city of Nainital.
Number of devotees increasing: CM
The CM said that at present Nainital has become important not only from tourism but also from religious and spiritual point of view in the world. The number of devotees in the world famous Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj’s ashram ‘Shri Kainchi Dham’ in Nainital is increasing tremendously. Devotees visiting Kainchi Dham stay in Nainital or the areas adjacent to Nainital.
Shared the problem of parking arrangement in Nainital with the Defense Minister
The CM said that to solve the parking system in Nainital to a large extent, mainly this option was brought to the notice that at a distance of two km from Naini Lake in the city, there is land of Defense Estate Department, whose area is three acres. If this land is made available for parking, then the problem of parking arrangement in Nainital will be solved to a certain extent.
Defense Minister assured to provide all possible cooperation
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami suggested that if this site is developed as a multi-storey parking, then about 1500-2000 vehicles will be able to be parked in it. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh assured Chief Minister Dhami to cooperate as much as possible.
