Uttarakhand: 14 roads closed in Nainital, trains facing problems, 111 mm rain in 24 hours

The series of rains continues from the hilly areas to the plains of Uttarakhand. Due to the rain, normal life has been disrupted. Due to heavy rains in Nainital, 14 roads in the district have been closed. Along with this, the track of Lalkuan railway station has been flooded. Due to which there is a problem in the operation of trains.

111 mm of rain has been recorded in Nainital in the last 24 hours. Due to heavy rains, the track of Lalkuan railway station has been flooded. Due to which there are problems in the operation of trains. Due to rain, 14 roads in Nainital district have been closed. Waterlogging has occurred in many areas of the city.

Dangerous situation at many places

Seeing the waterlogging at many places, the City Magistrate, SDM and Tehsildar came out on the roads for inspection. Traffic has also been disrupted due to debris on the road near Gulabghati. The City Magistrate has given instructions to drain out the waterlogging in the houses. Due to heavy rains, there is a dangerous situation at many places.

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain in some areas of Nainital, Bageshwar, Champawat, Almora, Pithoragarh and Udham Singh Nagar districts. While an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain with lightning at some places in Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri and Haridwar districts.
