Protesters gheraoed the police headquarters

Under the leadership of Uttarakhand Mahila Congress state president Jyoti Rautela, the Mahila Congress gheraoed the police headquarters on Thursday. During this, heavy police force was deployed on the spot. The police stopped the protesters by putting up barricades at Kanak Chowk before the police headquarters.

Warned to gherao the CM residence

Congress state president Jyoti Rautela said that crimes against women are continuously increasing in the state. But the government is working to protect the criminals. Rautela demanded death penalty for the criminals. Rautla said that if his demands are not met, he will burn the effigy of the CM across the state. Along with this, he will be forced to gherao the CM’s residence.
